Here we go again
Has before it’s been another 6 months since I put electronic ink to electronic paper. But I still have this itch so like oh so many failed blogs before, I will try again.
So what will I be talking about, I still have an itch to talk about the technology platforms such as DnD Beyond, Demiplane and Virtual Table Tops. Talk about how you can integrate technology such as social media, chat, bots and what ever else I come across.
I want to discuss game systems, I bounced off Pathfinder 2e recently as a Dungeon or Gamemaster ( DM/GM ) who leans into the Rules of Cool far more that Rules as Written ( RoC, RAW) while considering alternatives to DnD 5e, but at the same time I was drawn in by Dragonbane for it’s simplicity, and any one in gaming or TTRPG at the moment can’t help be looking at Daggerheart in some way. I’d like to write up these experiences, my thoughts and feelings.
I read and my reading style is chaos. Why read one book when you can read 3 or 4 all at the same time in different locations and scenarios this means I recently consumed with a fever books such as The Monsters Know What They Are Doing(MKWTaD), and So You Want To Be A Gamemaster (SywtbaGM), at the same time Forgotten Realms Seven Sisters and Docker Step by Step. Don’t worry I won’t be reviewing the latter in this space. But I do want to review or comment on the others.
I’ve been a forever DM/GM for 30+ years, and with a leaning to the Interaction (roleplay) pillar (Exploration, Interaction, and Combat) of TTRPGs and Rules of cool I normally have a lot to say about how to prep, how to run scenarios, encounters and Monsters that is not this is all a fight. My games are vary rarely players vs Evil or monsters
Anyway this is just my thoughts, lets see how I do actually writing some things this time.
